Corporate social responsibility means doing business in accordance with fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption (UN Global Impact). In addition to entrepreneurship, taking social responsibility is central to our organisation. Demcon takes this responsibility for people and the planet from different perspectives. We constantly analyse ourselves and our impact in order to contribute in the most positive way possible. Besides, we attempt to apply our knowledge and decisiveness to contribute to society’s current challenges by using our solutions, products and systems.
When the wind blows there are those that build walls and then there are those that build windmills.

We have defined five themes that cover our company’s core activities:
Increase and conserve knowledge and skills for workers and the community.
Support and increase quality of life for workers and the community.
Use and enable our innovation power in order to deal with current and future societal challenges worldwide.
Reduce depletion of natural resources and transit to renewable resources for our business and the community.
Invest in people, support entrepreneurship and commit to social initiatives.
Several examples that illustrate our ambitions within these themes are: offering sponsoring and technical support to Solar Team Twente, offering management support and production capacity to Susteq and our aim to obtain the BREEAM Outstanding Certificate for the construction of the Demcon Technology Centre.
