Demcon exists because of the founders’ passion for using their creativity and technical skills for the development of solutions for complex issues. Solutions that in the meanwhile in many cases directly or indirectly affect people’s lives or the world around them. At Demcon we realize we are in the unique position of being able to create societal impact, since the importance of technique as a solution for dealing with social and environmental challenges has been increasing. Whether it is because of medical solutions, systems that enhance security or innovations that involve sustainability in themes such as water and energy, Demcon makes societal impact, also for future generations.
At Demcon we aim to enhance competitiveness of the company, while simultaneously advancing social and economic conditions in the communities in which we sell and operate. In other words, Creating Shared Value. Value for the company, employees, customers, society and planet at the same time.
Besides offering solutions for technical issues, our social involvement is visible in several areas. Examples are: the sponsoring and technical support of Solar Team Twente, offering management support and production capacity to Susteq, our cooperation with educational institutes, our incubator program, the involvement of people with a distance to the job market and our completely according to BREEAM ‘outstanding’ newly built Demcon Technology Center.
Creating Shared Value is a process in which we aim to learn continuously about the best possible way of Creating Shared Value in a fast changing society.
Our engineers are innovators that look for new areas to explore with an infinite sense of curiosity. It is typical Demcon to start and discover and learn more about the goal of the project before knowing exactly where we are going. Our specialists and multidisciplinary teams are acting as a whole. There is unity through diversity.
